How does a glue gun work?

Tips for use:

Before you get started, it is wise to test the glue gun on some material. Keep the glue nozzle down and gradually squeeze the trigger. Is the glue liquid and does it flow gradually from the mouth? Then the glue is warm enough for use. If you do not have much experience with a glue gun, it would be advisable to first practice on your test material. To get the hang of the glue flow, you can gradually squeeze the trigger tighter.

It is important that the material you will be working with is grease-free and dry, as greasy and wet surfaces don’t adhere easily. For glass you can use alcohol or glass cleaner, if you don't have this at home, you can also just use some water and a little soap. Wooden objects are easy to sand and clean lightly. Do you want to glue larger materials? Then it can be useful to use clamps so that the glue adheres well.

When you're ready for the real thing, it's a good idea to protect the surface you're working on. This way you prevent the glue from getting to places where you don't want it. If you are not working with the glue gun, you can easily put it away thanks to the handy storage bracket.
